There is now yet another upcoming pair of earbuds from OnePlus, the Nord Buds 3. A follow-up to last year’s Nord Buds 2, the new earphones that were unveiled just last month have now appeared on both the brand’s Malaysian website and the SIRIM database, strongly indicating that it will be available here soon.
The Nord Buds 3 received certification from SIRIM on 8 October 2024, being listed with the model number E514A. Pricing-wise, the earbuds are sold at INR2,299 (~RM118), which is notably cheaper than its predecessor. With that in mind, it is likely that the upcoming earbuds will also be priced lower than the Buds 2’s RM329 price tag.
Coming in a more rounded design, the Nord Buds 3 sports a 12.4mm driver in each bud, along with less weight for a more comfortable fit and an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. The earbuds come with an improved active noise cancellation feature that can drown out up to 32dB of background noise, along with a transparency mode.
Equipped with Bluetooth 5.4, Buds 3 offers a 94ms low-latency mode for gaming and just like many of the brand’s other earbuds, it supports Dual Connection and Google Fast Pair for a more seamless audio switching and pairing experience. Battery life has significantly improved, with the earbuds claiming to last 12 hours without ANC and eight hours with ANC on a single charge, for a total listening time of up to 43 hours with the charging case.
