HONOR has announced the availability of Google’s Circle to Search feature for two of its smartphone lineups. Becoming the third brand to carry it, the search feature is coming soon to the Magic V3 as well as the 200 series.
In case you are unfamiliar with it, Circle to Search is an AI-powered search tool that made its debut with the Google Pixel 8 series as well as the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. Since then, the availability has been expanded to include other select Samsung smartphones and tablet, as well as certain Chromebooks and the Chrome browser, but overall, the release of the feature has been very limited.
The feature works by allowing users to instantly prompt a search by circling, highlighting, scribbling, or tapping on their screen to select texts, images, or videos. This makes searching faster and more intuitive, without requiring you to switch apps.
While the availability of Circle to Search to more smartphones is welcome, it is unfortunate that the rollout is exclusive to only three models from the brand at the moment. A representative confirmed with us that it will not be rolled out to the 200 Lite or the 200 Smart.
