Meta has confirmed that its generative artificial intelligence (AI) feature, Meta AI, will be expanded to 21 more countries. As per the company’s recent announcement, it is now available in Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom, with several additional countries set to receive the feature in the coming weeks. These countries include Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Sudan, Tunisia, Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates.
Meta AI is integrated directly into several Meta-owned applications, including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Users can activate the feature by either tapping the feature’s icon within the apps or typing “@Meta AI” in any conversation, as well as accessing it directly via the meta.ai website.
With Meta AI, users can engage with a chatbot for answering questions, use the Imagine AI feature to generate images and videos from text prompts, and access AI stickers, among other functionalities. This integration is available across Meta’s social media networks, ensuring that users on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger can seamlessly make use of these AI-powered tools.
Following its phased rollout, Meta AI will eventually be available in a total of 43 countries, with support for multiple languages. Meta expects the feature to become the most widely used in the world, projecting nearly 500 million monthly active users by the end of this year.
