Earlier today, we were shown that Maxis was offering permanent quota upgrades for its postpaid plans. The telco has since confirmed this, and has announced that the postpaid plans under Hotlink are also getting the same benefit, specifically for the Postpaid 45, 60 and 70 plans.
Naturally, these plans are not getting the unlimited data upgrade that the pricier Maxis postpaid plans are getting. Nor are they getting the significant bump of the Postpaid 79 plan. That being the case, the telco says that the Hotlink Postpaid 45 plan will see its data quota from 30GB, with another 30GB exclusively for 5G data, being bumped up to 50GB with another 5G-exclusive 50GB.
Similarly, the Hotlink Postpaid 60 and 75 are seeing their 50GB and 70GB data quotas being bumped up to 100GB and 150GB, both with equivalent amounts of 5G-only data. As with the Maxis postpaid plans, the telco says that these changes are being rolled out to existing subscribers between 9 October and 5 November. An FAQ page, on the other hand, says that existing subscribers will see their plans be upgraded by 24 October.
Unlike the the Maxis postpaid plans though, there’s no mention of a promotional period for these Hotlink Postpaid 45, 60 and 70 plans. We’ve confirmed with a company rep that these upgrades are permanent. Worth mentioning at this point that there’s a Postpaid 30 plan that has been excluded from these upgrades.
