ASUS has announced a refresh to its Vivobook 16X, updating it with new display that fitted with a higher refresh rate. Moreover, the update comes with a price reduction for the laptop, slashing the price tag by RM1,000.
The Vivobook 16X (K3605) sports a large 16-inch 1920×1200 IPS LED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 300 nits, and a tall 16:10 aspect ratio. Weighing at 1.8kg, the laptop comes with a 720p webcam with a privacy shutter, SonicMaster speakers, along with support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Underneath the chassis, the lightweight computer runs on a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H processor alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, powered by a 70WHrs battery with a 120W adapter. This is paired with 512GB of SSD storage and 16GB of DDR4 memory.
On the I/O side, it comes with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI port, an audio jack, a DC charging port, and an SD card reader. Additionally, it is equipped with a
US MIL-STD 810H military-grade standard and a fingerprint sensor integrated into the touchpad.
The refreshed Vivobook 16X is offered at a retail price of RM3,999 in a single black colour option and can be purchased through the brand’s online store. Like its predecessor, it even gets a 180-degree hinge along with an ErgoSense keyboard.
