Tecno has officially launched two new 5G smartphones, the Spark 30 5G as well as the Spark 30C 5G. The latter is different from the 4G-enabled 30C that the brand introduced last month.
Oddly enough, the two phones are nearly identical to each other, spec-wise, and only differ by the primary camera and configurations. Both of them sport a 6.67-inch 720p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the budget phones run on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, but the Spark 30 5G comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, whereas the 30C 5G is limited to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
On the optics front, the Spark 30 gets a 108MP main lens along with a depth sensor while the 30C only gets a 48MP camera setup with a depth sensor, but both phones are equipped with an 8MP selfie snapper. Powering the entry-level devices is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
Aside from 5G, the phones also support Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. For protection, they come with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Spark 30C 5G retails with a starting price of INR9,999 (~RM510) in India while the price of the Spark 30 5G has not been revealed. However, the latter has already been listed on SIRIM, so we can expect it to land here soon.
