Apple announced the AirPods 4, AirPods Max USB-C and Watch Series 10 alongside its latest smartphone series last month. However, unlike the iPhone 16 line-up which are already available in Malaysia, all of the aforementioned have yet to arrive. For those who’ve already pre-ordered them and are currently waiting, we have some good news.
Upon checking SIRIM’s e-ComM database, we discovered that all three devices have recently received approvals from the regulatory body in late September and early October this year. What this means is that the AirPods 4, the updated AirPods Max with USB-C, and Watch Series 10 will finally hit local store shelves soon. However, Apple has yet to reveal when that may be.
At the time of writing, their respective product pages on the company’s official Malaysia website still mentions “Check back later for availability”. Hopefully, this could potentially change soon based on recent developments, and we’ll be checking the site again for any updates.
We also visited the Ministry of Health’s Medical Device Authority website to see whether Apple’s new Sleep Apnea detection feature that’s available on Watch Series 9 and Series 10 has been approved for use locally. Unfortunately, it is still not listed just yet. Nevertheless, you can expect it to be rolled out via a software update if it ever gets green lit by the authority.
