As announced last week, Infinix has officially released the Hot 50, its latest entry-level 5G smartphone. It costs RM150 more than the Hot 50i, which was recently reduced in price, but it does come with double the RAM as well as a more powerful chipset.
The Hot 50 is fitted with a 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with a peak brightness of 480 nits, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and an IP54 rating rating for dust and water resistance. Internally, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip along with 8GB of RAM, 256GB on internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. On the software side, it ships with XOS 14.5 based on Android 14 and Infinix AI, while for security, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Imaging-wise, the budget smartphone is equipped with a 48MP main camera, two depth sensors, and an 8MP selfie snapper. The entry-level device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. As for connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.
The Hot 50 retails at RM599 on the brand’s Shopee store and comes in black, green, purple, and blue colour options. From now until 15 October 2024, purchases of the phone come with a free pair of wireless earbuds.
