Prior to the appearance of the OPPO Find X8 in the SIRIM database, there were claimed leaks of the phone’s spec sheet making the rounds on the internet. More recently another leak with what looks like the full spec sheet of the phone has appeared online, with some live photos of less-than-ideal quality.
These come via X user @ZionsAnvin, with a translation of the image with the OPPO Find X8 spec sheet, with some inconsistencies when compared to the prior leak. But to focus on this new leak, it claims that the phone will come with a 6.5-inch 1.5K screen made by BOE, an under-display fingerprint sensor and the as-of-yet unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. On the software side of things, it will be getting ColorOS 15 based on Android 15.
While there are no memory and storage figures, the alleged OPPO Find X8 spec sheet claims that it has a 5,700mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. It has a rear triple-camera setup, one of which is a 50MP periscope shooter. The body gets a metal frame and a glass back
There is also mention of the OPPO Find X8 getting what is described as a “virtual pressure-sensitive button”, which may or may not be drawing comparisons to the new Camera Control button on the iPhone 16 family. But arguably the most eyebrow raising claim, even if it’s been revealed by the Find series lead Zhou Yibao before, its IP68/69 rating claim.
At any rate, the post closes with a possible release date of 21 October. That would probably be when the company clarifies the OPPO Find X8 having an IP rating that has quite rarely, if ever, appeared on a smartphone. Separately, GizmoChina has also shared what the box of the phone will look like, shown at the very top of this article.
