The integration of MyDigital ID with the MyJPJ application has been postponed, not cancelled, according to MyDigital ID CEO Mohd Mirza Mohd Noor. Clarifying recent reports, he said the delay was misunderstood as a cancellation following a misquote of transport minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook’s statement on Wednesday, 2 October 2024.
“The Minister (Loke) has just announced the postponement of the implementation of the ‘Single Login’ feature, which allows users to log in with only one account,” Mohd Mirza said in a statement. “During this suspension period, users can still choose to use their existing MyJPJ login or MyDigital ID to access the application.”
He further emphasised that the postponement is part of a broader strategy aimed at enhancing the success and user experience of the “Single Login” feature. This feature, once implemented, will allow users to access the MyJPJ application with a single account. Until then, users can continue using their existing MyJPJ login or MyDigital ID credentials.
Mohd Mirza also acknowledged recent reports of users experiencing difficulties when registering for a MyDigital ID registration, but notes that the issues are limited compared to the more than 150,000 users who have successfully registered into the system. Yesterday, the platform issued an apology regarding the matter and attributed the registration problem to a combination of external factors unrelated to its system.
