Earlier this week, HONOR unveiled the 200 Smart, the most affordable option yet from the 200 series. While the brand has yet to announce an official launch date for the Malaysian market, it has already been listed on SIRIM, meaning that the phone’s arrival is imminent. However, while we do not know the release date yet, its price may have already been revealed.
At least two local retailers have already listed the 200 Smart for pre-ordering, with a price tag of RM1,099. It seems that the phone will only be sold in a single configuration along with white and green colour options.
The specs seem to be identical to its European counterpart, sporting a 6.8-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 850 nits, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Internally, the entry-level phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, together with 8GB of RAM and 256GB in internal storage.
For imaging, the 200 Smart is fitted with a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP front snapper. It is powered by a large 5,200mAh battery that supports 35W charging. Regarding protection, it comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, as well as a five-star drop resistance rating.
