Infinix has announced the upcoming arrival of yet another budget 5G smartphone, the Hot 50. A higher-end version of the 50i that was launched last week, it comes with double the amount of RAM as well as a more powerful processor.
The Hot 50 sports a 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with a peak brightness of 480 nits, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and an IP54 rating rating for dust and water resistance. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the imaging side, the entry-level phone features a 48MP main camera on the back alongside two depth sensors, as well as an 8MP front shooter. Backing the device is a 5,000mAh battery cell with support for 18W charging. Additionally, it ships with XOS 14.5 based on Android 14 and is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Hot 50 will be officially launching here on 7 October 2024. However, ahead of this, several retailers have already listed the phone with a price tag of RM599, available in black, green, and blue colour options.
