Maxis has announced a couple of upgrades for its Hotlink Unlimited and Pantas prepaid plans. The short version is the former is getting a speed increase during the day and double the FUP data limit at night, while the latter is getting a larger monthly data quota.
Getting into the details, the Hotlink Unlimited RM50 pass goes from providing 12Mbps speeds to 24Mbps, while the uncapped nighttime usage FUP limits have been raised from 100GB to 200GB. Worth noting is that the internet speed post FPU limits is still at 512Kbps. The Unlimited RM40 pass is mostly the same, except that its 6Mbps daytime speed has been doubled to 12Mbps.
On the other hand, the Hotlink Pantas passes are a fair bit more straightforward. The RM35 pass has got its monthly data quota pushed up from 60GB to 100GB, while the RM25 pass gets bumped from 40GB to 60GB. As before though, all of these new data quotas are split evenly between a mixed 4G / 5G connectivity and 5G-only quotas.
As an added bonus, Maxis says that those aged under 24 can get a 20% cashback on each of these monthly pass purchase. There’s also a 20% discount off of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang microtransactions, as well as a RM9.90 a month Hotlink Streamer Pass. A lot of these would be familiar if you’ve gotten these upgrades before, but you can find out more by hitting the link below.
