Redmagic, the gaming sub-brand of Nubia, has released its latest gaming tablet, the Nova, to the global market. It was introduced in China earlier this month, featuring an up-to-date flagship chipset along with LED lights and fans for a “gaming” aesthetic.
The Nova sports a 10.9-inch 2.8K LCD display with a peak brightness of 550 nits as well as high refresh rate of 144Hz. Inside, the tablet runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chipset paired with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. For passive cooling, the internals are equipped with a heat pipe connected to the 20,000 RPM fan, as well as graphene, copper foil, thermally conductive gel, mainboard copper foil, and an aluminum body — the brand claims that this reduces the core temperature by 25°C.
Imaging-wise, the device features a 50MP camera on the back while the front uses a 20MP sensor. Additionally, it is fitted with a total of four speakers for media playback and video calls. Powering it is a 10,100mAh battery that supports a whopping charging speed of 120W.
The Nova gaming tablet is available in Europe and the US for US$499 (~RM2,050). It is unknown when exactly will the tablet make its way to the Malaysian market, but it is confirmed the it will be coming to Asia eventually.
