Apple intends to begin mass production of its next-generation Vision Pro headset sometime in the second half of 2025. Standout features of the headset include AI spatial computing capabilities, powered by Apple’s next-gen M5 chip.
Ming Chi Kuo, a prominent analyst regarding Apple insights, says that the Vision Pro will transition from the M2 chip to the M5, which is expected to bring a substantial performance that facilitates AI functions that can optimise spatial computing.
Apple is aiming for a more intuitive human-machine interface by integrating Apple Intelligence with eye tracking and gesture control. Kuo anticipates that the tech giant will maintain a similar pricing strategy, primarily because the company plans to retain much of the existing hardware and focus more on the chip upgrade.
The supply chain for the Vision Pro will largely remain unchanged, and while the price of the M5-powered headset may not see significant changes, improvements in cost, weight, and battery life are expected over time.
