Last week, leaked images of an alleged Lenovo Legion Go Lite made their way online, along with a supposed white shell. Recently, the PC brand confirmed not just the Lite, but also a a Gen Two variant its first gaming handheld.
The confirmation was provided via Lenovo’s product specs sheet for the Legion Go USB-C dock. It’s already been altered but not before a screenshot was captured by the leakster site, Videocardz. In it, you can see the supported systems section clearly listing the Legion Go Gen One, Gen Two, and the Lite.
Lenovo had initially said that that a Legion Go Lite wasn’t on the table, and a successor to the original Go would only be released once “it is ready”. If the brand does choose to follow the typical year-on-year update pattern, the Go Two could be fitted with a beefier Strix Point APU, complete with Zen5 cores and RDNA 3.5 GPU cores. Specifically, up to 16 RDNA 3.5 Compute units (CUs), which has proven to provide a 33% improvement over the Phoenix-based APU.
For that matter, one can hope that the Legion Go Two will be fitted with an AMD Ryzen Z2 SoC, which is rumoured to be launching in early 2025. Fingers crossed.
