Last Friday, Xiaomi announced a whole lineup of new products, including the 14T series and the Mix Flip. In addition, it also released a couple of smartwatches under its Redmi sub-brand, namely the Watch 5 Lite and the Watch 5 Active, that both run on HyperOS.
The Watch 5 Lite sports a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 600 nits. It comes with built-in GPS and has over 150 sports modes to track your exercises, as well as a 5ATM water resistance for swimming. For the battery life, the brand claims that it can last you up to 18 days on a single charge. Additionally, it has a built-in speaker for Bluetooth calls.
As for the Active variant, it gets a bigger 2-inch LCD display, but ironically, despite its name, it does not come with GPS. However, it is still water resistant and has over 140 sports modes, along with sensors to track your heart rate and blood oxygen saturation levels. Just like the Lite, it can last up to 18 days and is capable of making Bluetooth phone calls.
The Watch 5 Lite retails at RM259 while the Active is sold for RM199. However, the company is offering them with early bird prices, at RM199 and RM129 respectively, through its online store.
