It’s being rumoured that the 3D V-Cache-powered AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D could make its debut as early as the end of October. Information on the alleged CPU was both initially and allegedly disclosed on the Chiphell forum zhangzhonghao, claiming that the CPU will be just one of three X3D SKUs.
Supposedly, the 98000X3D will be the first of the X3D SKUs to be released this year, between October and November. The other two variants, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D, will supposedly launch at different date, although the source doesn’t make it clear if they would be launched together or individually.

As with all of AMD’s 3D V-Cache processors, the 9800X3D will undoubtedly feature a stacked L3 Cache, typically with triple the amount of L3 memory than its direct non-X3D counterpart. Which, in this case, is the Ryzen 7 9700X that we also recently reviewed. The one downside to these CPU is that they can’t be overclocked in the traditional sense but since their advent during the Ryzen 5000 Series, they’ve been a popular choice among gamers, especially the 7800X3D.
