Xiaomi today has officially launched the new Xiaomi 14T series for the Malaysian market. The line-up consists of two models, namely the vanilla and Pro variants, with each powered by varying MediaTek Dimensity flagship chipsets.
Both sport a similar design language and size, though the standard Xiaomi 14T features a smaller camera island than its Pro sibling. They also feature the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display with 1220 x 2712 pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 4000 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Additionally, the duo are equipped with aluminium alloy frames, optical under-display fingerprint scanners, stereo speakers, and are rated at IP68 for water and dust resistance.
Despite their respective designations, both the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro offer the same Leica-enhanced triple camera setup. This comprises a 50MP f/1.7 primary with PDAF and OIS, a 50MP f/1.9 telephoto with PDAF and 2.6x optical zoom, as well as a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide. In front, housed within the cutout on the display of both variants is a 32MP selfie camera.
Moving on to internals, this is where things differ between the two models. For the vanilla model, powering it is MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset that’s accompanied by a Mali G615-MC6 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The Pro, on the other hand, comes with the beefier Dimensity 9300+, along with an Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU, 12GB RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
While both Xiaomi 14T models feature the same 5,000mAh battery capacity, the Pro stands out as it comes with a faster USB-C 2.0 charging rate of 120W while the vanilla only gets 67W. It’s also worth noting that only the former comes with wireless charging capability, rated at 50W. Connectivity-wise, the duo supports 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and even Infrared.
The standard variant of the Xiaomi 14T is priced at RM1,899 for the 12GB + 256GB configuration, and RM2,199 for 12GB + 512GB. It is available in three colourways: Titan Blue, Titan Black, and Lemon Green. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14T Pro starts from RM2,599 for the 12GB + 256GB trim, RM2,999 for the 12GB + 512GB, and RM3,499 for 12GB + 1TB. This variant is available in Titan Gray, Titan Blue, and Titan Black. Both models are available in Malaysia via the brand’s official online stores on its website, Shopee and Lazada, as well as authorised retailers nationwide starting today onwards.
