Xiaomi has officially unveiled its new Redmi Note 14 Pro series, which as its affordable sub-brand’s top-of-the line offerings. While most of the phones’ internals are fairly modest, they come with notably robust designs as well as silicon-carbon anode batteries with huge capacities.
Both devices sport the same 6.67-inch 1220×2712 AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. For durability, the lineup comes a “King Kong” architecture that uses an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, reinforced corners, internals cushioned with foam and rubber, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front — the Pro Plus model gets an additional Gorilla Glass 7i on the back.
Under the hood, the Pro Plus runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset while the regular Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra. The two mid-rangers ship with HyperOS based on Android 14 and are equipped with ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensors. For connectivity, they support 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.
On the optics side, the Pro Plus features an OmniVision Light Hunter 800 50MP main sensor with dual native ISO and OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP selfie snapper. As for the Pro, it is fitted with a smaller 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and also a 20MP front shooter. Battery-wise, the Pro Plus is powered by a massive 6,200mAh cell with 90W charging, while the Pro runs on a 5,500mAh battery with 45W charging.
The Note 14 Pro is available in China now with a starting price of CNY1,400 (~RM822) for the base trim. On the other hand, the Note 14 Pro Plus retails from CNY1,900 (~RM1,116). As of now, there is no word on when the series will be expanding to other markets.
