Infinix has officially announced the availability of the Smart 9, the successor to the Smart 8 that was released here just a few months ago. The price of the phone was leaked earlier this week, with it costing the same as its predecessor alongside a few minor upgrades.
First off, the Smart 9 sports a 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with an improved refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and a Dynamic Bar feature. Under the hood, it is slightly more powerful with a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the optics side, the entry-level device gets a 13MP primary camera, a depth sensor, and an 8MP front snapper. Backing the affordable phone is a 5,000mAh with support for 10W charging. Additionally, it comes with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, an infrared blaster, and ships with XOS 14 based on Android 14 (Go Edition).
The Smart 9 is offered in black, titanium, green, and gold colour options, retailing at RM299. It can be purchased through the brand’s Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok shops.
