As you all know, Logitech announced a basket full of gaming products and peripherals last week, ranging from new Lightspeed gaming keyboards to wireless gaming mice such as the Pro X Superlight 2 Dex that you’re seeing here. Looking at it from the side, you’d think there wouldn’t be much going on with the mouse, that is until you get a little closer.
Ok, I may have oversold that last bit a little but it’s true: the Superlight 2 Dex does look and feel different. Instead of the symmetrical design of the Pro X Superlight, it now slopes slight, from left to right. It’s meant to follow the contour and shape of your hand when you hold the mouse. In other words, your right index finger will sit higher than your middle finger. It’s a common enough design but one that’s being brought over to the Pro X Superlight 2 lineup, honestly.
The side of the Superlight 2 Dex is indented as well, allowing for the thumb to rest a bit more comfortably into the body, while still being able to click either of the two side buttons directly at the top of it. And before you ask: no, it doesn’t look like Logitech has made a left-handed version of the mouse. Oh, and there’s a weight factor as well: despite the changes in ergonomics and aesthetics, it weighs the same as its non-Dex counterpart.
Like its predecessors, the Superlight 2 Dex is wireless and connects to PCs via the provided USB dongle. While I have yet to test it out myself, Logitech claims that the lifespan of its new gaming mouse is set at 95 hours, and that’s while it is in continuous motion. It’s an impressive lifespan, and one I most certainly would like to try out for myself, whenever the brand is able to send a unit over.
Other technical details include a maximum Lightspeed report rate of 8000Hz, or 0.25ms. That would technically translate to faster response times when playing fast-paced shooters or Esports titles like CS:GO.
The Logitech Pro X Superlight 2 Dex is already available for purchase at an SRP of RM689.
