HP is officially launching the OmniBook Ultra Flip, its first 2-in-1 AI laptop that features a 14-inch 3K OLED display and Intel’s 200V Core Ultra series processors equipped with a dedicated AI engine. It’s touted to deliver sharp visuals with Low Blue Light, HDR 500 nits, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio.
The OmniBook Ultra Flip boasts a 2,880 x 1,800 resolution OLED touchscreen that supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also includes quad speakers with DTS Ultra, HP Audio Boost, and Poly Studio for enhanced sound. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and an optional USB-C Rechargeable Tilt Pen.
The laptop has a 9MP IR AI camera with low-light adjustments as well as Auto Switch HDR, which activates HDR based on ambient lighting. Using Intel’s NPU, it enables AI features that support hand gestures for scrolling, media control, volume adjustments, as well as auto-locking and unlocking based on user proximity.
Storage options for the device start at 512GB, with upgrades available up to 1TB and 2TB. Standard RAM is 16GB, while higher-end configurations offer 32GB. The battery life can last up to 20 hours on a single charge, and it’s able to reach 50 percent of battery in just 45 minutes thanks to its 65W USB-C charger. The Intel AI processor is configurable from Ultra 5 226V to Ultra 9 288V.
The OmniBook Ultra Flip is available for purchase on HP’s official website starting at US$1,450 (~RM5,989). The laptop will also receive Microsoft’s Copilot+ capabilities as an update in late November, which will introduce more AI features such as image generation, live captions, and Windows Studio effects. At the time of writing, we cannot confirm its arrival in Malaysia yet.
