The latest addition to the iQOO Z9 series, the Z9 Turbo Plus, has officially launched in China. The new model introduces a number of enhancements over its predecessor, the iQOO Z9 Turbo, including a new chipset, a larger battery, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and better ingress protection.
In terms of durability, the Z9 Turbo Plus offers an upgraded IP65 rating for water and dust resistance, improving upon the IP64 rating of the previous version. Most specifications remain almost the same between the two models, including a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Camera features include a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 16MP front camera. The device runs on OriginOS 4, based on Android 14.
For the internals, the Z9 Turbo Plus is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ chipset, replacing the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 found in the earlier model. It has a 6,400mAh silicon-carbon battery, offering up to 16.4 hours of video playback. The device also supports 80W charging.
The smartphone is available in three colours: Moon Shadow Titanium, Starlight White, and Midnight Black. Pricing in China starts at CNY2,299 (~RM1,351) for the base model at 256GB, and goes up to CNY2,899 (~RM1,704) for the 512GB variant. At the time of writing, there’s no word on local availability or pricing.
