MediaTek is set to unveil its latest flagship chipset, the Dimensity 9400, according to a teaser posted on its official Weibo account. The Taiwan-based fab hints at “a new generation of MediaTek products” with the upcoming release.
Although the teaser does not explicitly name the chipset, it’s anticipated to be the Dimensity 9400. It’s also expected to have an AI NPU and an ARM Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU.
The Dimensity 9400 will reportedly have an octa-core CPU configuration, including one Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.63 GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.8 GHz, and four Cortex-A725 cores at 2.1 GHz. Leaked benchmarks suggest that this chipset will offer a 30% performance boost over the 9300, and its GPU may be among the most powerful available.
The Dimensity 9400 is set to launch on 9 October. Additionally, it’s been rumoured that Oppo will likely introduce two versions of its Find X8, both of which will be powered by the chipset. On that note, vivo is also rumoured to be preparing the release of multiple models in its X200 series, all fitted with the new processor, which will be unveiled in October too.
