Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) will officially be bringing its latest Pi6 and Pi8 TWS earbuds into the Malaysian market. The earbuds were first announced in August and are the follow-up to their respective predecessors, the Pi5 S2 and Pi7 S2.
Pricing for the Pi6 is set at RM1,399 while the Pi8 retails for RM2,399. Both models are expected to be available in the country starting in October, and will be distributed via TCAcoustic. On that note, if you wish to physically purchase them, you can head over to the Sonos Concept Store located in Starhill Gallery.
As a quick recap on the specifications, both models support Bluetooth 5.4 and 24-bit 96kHz aptX audio playback, although the higher-end Pi8 is able to do aptX Lossless. Additionally, both earbuds share the same IP54 rating and B&W’s proprietary ANC technology, with the brand saying that the ones in these models are new and improved.
Additionally, the Pi6 houses the same 12mm bio-cellulose drivers and the Px7 S2e, while the Pi8 earbuds are fitted with new and presumably, more premium 12mm carbon cones. For battery life, the flagship model lasts 6.5 hours on a full charge, with its charging cradle providing an additional 13.5 hours. The lower-tier Pi6 has slightly longer endurance at eight hours on a full charge, with its casing holding a further 16 hours.
