The Xiaomi Mix Flip, the company’s first clamshell-type foldable, was first revealed back in July, and got a launch in its home market shortly after. It’s been two months since then, during which some may be wondering if it will ever make its way to markets outside of China. Now, the company’s CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that it will happen.
Not only will it be happening, it will also be pretty soon. On X, previously Twitter, Lei announced that the Xiaomi Mix Flip will be heading to global markets “this September”. Which probably means another announcement is coming within the little over a week left in the month.
Excited to announce that #XiaomiMIXFlip will be coming to global markets this September. This wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support from our amazing Xiaomi Fans! #XiaomiLaunch https://t.co/AdCJGWX582

Incidentally, the company does have a launch event planned for later in the month, for the Xiaomi 14T. This may be when the Mix Flip gets a wider launch of its own.
During its China launch, the Xiaomi Mix Flip was revealed to have a 4.01-inch cover screen and a 6.86-inch OLED 120Hz primary display. Inside, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 16GM of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, as well as a 4,780mAh battery which supports 67W charging. The primary camera setup consists of two 50MP shooters. These will probably be unchanged for the wider release, but we’ll have to wait and see for confirmation.
