Google’s Circle to Search feature was recently made available on older Google Pixel models as well as a range of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Its accessibility beyond these brands looked to be restricted, although, that seems likely to change soon.
Initially introduced in January for the Samsung Galaxy S24 and the Google Pixel 8 series, Tecno recently mentioned on Android Central that its new Phantom V Fold 2 will support Circle to Search, with the rollout expected this October.
Xiaomi’s upcoming 14T series is also expected to include Circle to Search, becoming one of the first manufacturers to adopt this feature, though it seems that Google is still making this a device-limited feature, meaning it’s unlikely that the feature will be available on every Android device. This expansion of Circle to Search to brands like Tecno and Xiaomi suggests that Google is still aiming to make the feature accessible to a wider range of Android devices.
