We first saw the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 when it was first revealed as part of the brand’s Computex reveals. It’s been awhile, but it is now available in Malaysia. Though while its initial reveal pointed at a range of configurations, it looks like there is only one for the local market.
As a result, the only option available for the local version of the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. RAM and storage off the shelf is 16GB of LPDDR5X and 1TB of PCIe 4 SSD. With the display on the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 is unchanged, we’re looking at the familiar 16-inch 2,560 x 1,600 16:10 IPS screen with up to 165Hz refresh rate with G-Sync support.
Other features on the ASUS TUF Gaming A16 include one-zone backlit chicklet keyboard, as well as support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity options. As for ports, there are two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port which supports DisplayPort and power deliver, and a USB-C 4 port, as well as an RJ45 LAN port, a HDMI 2.1 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. With its 90Wh battery, the the laptop weighs 2.2kg, which a claimed US MIL-STD-810H rating to go with it.
