realme has officially brought over the 13 Pro series into the Malaysian market with a total of two models. Made up of a Pro and Pro Plus model, the lineup offers very little upgrades compared to the 12 Pro series, with the only notable improvement being in the battery department.
Both smartphones sport a 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a local peak brightness of 2,000 nits, a global peak brightness of 1,200 nits, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The two mid-rangers run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which is the exact same chipset found in the 12 Pro Plus, although this is technically an upgrade for the base Pro model.
As for the configurations, both phones are paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The series comes with a variety of AI features including an Ultra Clarity and an Eraser tool in the gallery app, powered by generative AI.
Speaking of photos, the 13 Pro Plus features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie shooter. The Pro model is equipped with a similar setup sans the telephoto lens and a smaller 50MP primary sensor. Both smartphones are powered by a bigger 5,200mAh battery with slower 45W charging for the Pro (down from 67W) and a faster charging speed of 80W for the Pro Plus.
As we found out earlier this month, the realme 13 Pro retails at RM1,999 while the Pro Plus gets a price tag of RM2,299. They will be available for purchase from 20 September 2024 through the brand’s Shopee and Lazada stores.
