Samsung is allegedly gearing up to launch the Galaxy M55s, a rebranded version of the Galaxy M55, as indicated by the activation of the smartphone’s support page. Not only that, the South Korean electronics giant also confirmed the launch date along with noteworthy specifications for the Galaxy M55s.
The Galaxy M55s will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its rear camera setup consists of three sensors: a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the front camera apparently boasts 50MP as well.
While Samsung has not disclosed specifics regarding the phone’s hardware, it’s expected to mirror the specs of the Galaxy M55. As a quick primer, the M55 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen1 chipset, 12GB RAM, 256GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery, 45W charging, dual-SIM 5G capabilities, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB-C port, and stereo speakers.
Samsung also claims that the Galaxy M55s will be equipped with Nightography and Dual Recording features. The smartphone will be 7.8mm thin and have two colour options – Thunder Black and Coral Green.
We’re still unsure of its arrival in Malaysia, and Samsung has yet to reveal the smartphone’s initial price. However, the company has mentioned that it will be sold through its official Indian website, starting 23 September. It could retail at around INR 26,999 (~RM1,376), more or less the same as the M55.
