The OpenRun Pro 2 headphones are Shokz’s newest flagship model, offering open-ear audio and utilising the brand’s own DualPitch technology. Shokz has just announced that it is now available in Malaysia.
The headphones offer up to 12 hours of music playback on a single charge, with a standby time of 10 days. A five-minute charge can already give two and half hours of music playback as it uses a Li-Polymer battery with a capacity of 150mAh. It also utilises Bluetooth 5.3 and its connectivity range can reach up to 10m.
As previously mentioned, it’s also equipped with DualPitch technology, combining both bone conduction and air conduction speakers to control its touted bass. The bone conduction is an ultra-thin and all-metal driver that handles high-frequency sounds, while the low frequency air conduction driver processes more on lower pitch sounds and a deeper bass.
The headphones itself is a lightweight, high-strength material with a silicone finish. It has an IP55 rating for water and sweat resistance, including a double-layer mesh structure and nano-hydrophobic coating. Additionally, the OpenRun Pro 2 uses MultiPoint Pairing that lets you switch between two devices simultaneously.
From 23 to 29 September, users can head over to East Atrium at Mid Valley Megamall to check the new headphones out. It comes in two sizes and two different colorways, black and orange. Price-wise, it retails at RM899, and the first 50 customers to the pop-up booth will receive RM400 worth of freebies that include a sports belt, cooling towel, and T-Shirt with every purchase of the accessory.
