Logitech announced the G Astro A50 Gen 5 wireless gaming headset, building on the company’s A50 line with updated enhancements. The new model now features Playsync Audio, which allows players to switch audio sources seamlessly between consoles and PCs without needing to change HDMI connections.
Users can use Playsync to connect up to three systems, including Xbox Series X and S, PS5, and PC through USB-C. The feature also supports the Nintendo Switch in docked mode but is incompatible with handheld mode. Not only does it facilitate these connections, but the Base Station also serves as a charging dock for the headset.
Specs-wise, the headset is equipped with 40mm Pro-G graphene drivers which boasts a 48 kHz microphone that Logitech is touting as broadcast-quality. It also offers 24-bit uncompressed “Lightspeed” wireless audio, and you can fine-tune audio settings with options for EQ presets and detailed parametric adjustments through Logitech G’sHub app on PC and Mac or the Logitech G app that’s available on both iOS and Google Play Store.
The headset plus Base Station is now available for pre-order with a price-tag of US$299.99 (~RM1,271) and will ship out starting in October. You can also visit the brand’s website or blog for more updates.
