Alleged renders and details of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra have appeared, the latter suggesting that the Korean tech giant’s upcoming flagship and successor to the current S24 Ultra could be shedding some weight. Quite literally.
According to the serial leakster, Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), and a post on X, formerly Twitter, the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra will be slightly thinner than the current flagship at 8.2mm. For comparison, the S24 Ultra has a thickness of 8.6mm, leaving the next flagship to be 0.4mm thinner. Not only that, but it will also supposedly be 1.4mm narrower than the S24 Ultra.
Galaxy S20 Ultra body size: 166.9 x 76.0 x 8.8 mm
Galaxy S21 Ultra body size: 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm
Galaxy S22 Ultra body size: 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm
Galaxy S23 Ultra body size: 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm
Galaxy S24 Ultra body size: 162.3 x 79.0 x 8.6 mm

Most notable of the changes is the alleged weight of the next flagship. Supposedly, the phone will weigh in at just 219 grams, versus the 233g of the S24 Ultra. Simply put, that would make the phone thinner and lighter than the new Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max.
There are also renders of the S25 Ultra, courtesy of @Onleaks and Android Headlines. The image suggests that while Samsung is retaining the edgeless flat display, it will also have far thinner bezels than those on the current S24 Ultra, as well as a return of rounded edges.
As for the rest of the specs, it is anticipated that Samsung will go with the next-generation flagship Snapdragon 8 GenX SoC, while speculation suggests that the main camera will comprise a 50MP ISOCELL JN3 sensor for the ultrawide, a 200MP H2 main, a 10MP IMX754 sensor for a 3x telephoto, and a 50MP IMX584 for its 5x telephoto.
Of course, none of these alleged details are set in stone and as it stands, we’re still months away from the actual Galaxy S25 Ultra announcement. Until then, it’s best that you manage expectations.
