ASUS released a new AGESA 1202 update for a handful of its motherboards. Although still in beta, the firmware update does bring the coveted TDP mode to X670E motherboards, allowing 65W Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs like the Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X to run at a 105W mode.
Again, it needs to be stressed that the AGESA update is still just a beta version, meaning that if you’re installing this just for the 105W gains, then you do so at your own peril. It is highly recommended that you wait for the official release from ASUS. There’s still not a whole lot of details on what sort of performance boost you get, and if you’re using a Ryzen 7000 Series CPU, it provides no improvements whatsoever.
In any case, the AGESA 1202 update is available on ROG Crosshair, ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, and ProArt Series X670E motherboards. Below is the list:
