Dyson may have dipped its toes into the headphones market for a bit, including one with a built-in air purifier, but you probably know the brand more for its standalone purifiers, and vacuum cleaners. And the brand has announced the Dyson WashG1 for the local market. It is described as a wet floor cleaner, which is basically a fancy mop.
To be clear, the Dyson WashG1 has already been around for awhile, just not locally. So for the unfamiliar, this wet floor cleaner comes with a 1l clean water tank that the company claims is enough “to clean the average 5-bedroom apartment”. This is distributed though 26 hydration points at the bottom, along the width its pair of rollers that rotate in opposite directions.
The rollers themselves are made of high-density absorbent microfibre that picks up both dry dirt and liquid spills. The former is then flicked off into a removable debris tray, while the latter is siphoned up to a 0.8l dirty water tank. Powering the setup is a 4-cell battery that allows for a runtime of 35 minutes. And to complete the smart mop setup, there’s also a 1.4-inch screen that provides details like run time, charge status and other alerts. Of course, there are additional options via the myDyson app.
The Dyson WashG1 has a retail price of RM3,399, and is now available for pre-order via the brand’s official site, linked here. There’s no mention of when you can get them from physical stores, but the page linked above also notes a 23 September shipping date, so those two may coincide.
