Xiaomi has announced yet another set of budget earbuds under its Redmi sub-brand, this time with the Buds 6 Play. This is the third pair of new earbuds to be released by the company in the span of a month, following the Buds 6 Active and Buds 6 Lite.
The Buds 6 Play is the most affordable of the bunch and is the only offering to have no stems on the buds. Each bud sports a 10mm driver and weighs only 3.6g. On the software side, you can adjust how the earbuds sound with a total of five EQ modes and with Bluetooth 5.4, it provides a low latency mode for gaming as well as support for Google Fast Pair.
Regarding battery life, the brand claims that the buds can last up to 7.5 hours on a single charge, with a total usage time of 36 hours with the charging case. While there is no active noise cancellation, the earbuds do offer noise cancellation for calls. Protection wise, earbuds are equipped with an IPX4 rating for water resistance.
The Buds 6 Play comes in black and white colour options and retails for RM69. However, you can currently get it at a promotional price of only RM45 through Xiaomi’s online store.
