Fujifilm’s Instax line is going strong enough that the company launched a miniature camera to be used specifically with its portable printers. So naturally, one line of said miniature cameras is getting a third iteration, launched as the Instax Mini Link 3.
The company says that the new Instax Mini Link 3 comes with new features, called “instax AiR Studio: and “Click to Collage”. The former, as the capitalised letters indicate, allows for additional augmented reality effects to be added to your shots. On the other hand, the latter feature has a name that’s pretty self explanatory.
Of course, being just a portable printer for the format, you don’t get access to any of these features from the Instax Mini Link 3 itself. Instead, these are accessible from the Instax Mini Link mobile app, when you have the new printer connected.
On that note, the spec sheet of the Instax Mini Link 3 includes Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, weighs 210g, and is charged via USB-C. While no battery capacity were provided on its official site, a power consumption of 3W is mentioned instead. Ditto charging rates, but the company lists a charging time of between 1.5 to two hours.
The Instax Mini Link 3 is is available starting today, priced locally at RM628, and is available in three colours – Rose Pink, Clay White and Sage Green. Each purchase will also come with two packs of assorted films. This two-pack Instax Blind Box Pattern Film can also be bought separately for RM86. As it happens, this is also the only way to get the newly launched Sprinkles film, which is not available for purchase separately.
