The vivo X100 series was launched in its home market of China back in November, before hitting local markets in early January. For the successor series, the vivo X200 line, rumours point to what may be a launch in early October instead, at least for its own home market.
A claim coming out of one WallStreetCn states that the vivo X200 series will be released in early October, seemingly in direct competition with the iPhone 16. While the latter was just recently unveiled, the bitten fruit brand has said that on-shelf availability is only starting on 20 September, to say nothing of market specific dates.
Of course, with the claim having gone through machine translation, it’s hard to tell if the early October window for the vivo X200 is referring specifically to availability, or simply an official unveiling. If it is the latter, then either it happens on the same day as the announcement – which isn’t uncommon – or that it would happen earlier.
Prior leaks have pointed at the vivo X200, or at least its Pro variant, getting a 50MP f/1.57 camera and a 200MP f/2.67 periscope camera. It has also been claimed that it will be sporting the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset.
