Back in July, realme introduced the Watch S2, its first new smartwatch in nearly two years. While it has been only a month, it seems that the wearable will be making its way to the Malaysian market very soon, as it has already been listed by several retailers.
The Watch S2 will come with two silicone strap options and a single metal band offering. As for the prices, the smartwatch will start from RM499 for the silicone strap, but will cost customers who want the metal band a bit extra with a RM599 price tag. It is unknown when exactly the watch will be officially released, but it should be soon given that the brand will also be launching the 13 Pro series on 19 August.
It features a circular 1.43-inch AMOLED touch display that has a peak brightness of 600 nits, along with a stainless steel chassis. On the durability side, it boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and claims that it can function in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C. For software, it comes with a GPT 3.5-powered AI assistant and a text-to-image AI watch face generator.
When it comes to the battery life, the brand says that the Watch S2 is capable of lasting up to 20 days with regular usage, while the standby mode increases it to 38 days. In the health and fitness department, it can track over 110 different exercises and has sensors to monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and sleep, but it does not come with built-in GPS.
