We’ve already seen what the PS5 Pro could look like earlier in the month, thanks to Dealabs sharing what is claimed to be a drawing of the console based on the real deal. Now, it looks like Sony is confirming that the design is real, but whether this is an intentional teaser or an oversight is unclear.
In a PlayStation blog post celebrating the console series’ 30th anniversary is a graphic which consists of all the consoles and accessories being arranged in the shape of its face buttons. But sprinkled among them is one that looks a lot like the image of the PS5 Pro that Dealabs shared, showing a console with three stripes through it rather than the one on the colloquially named PS5 Slim.
A similar image has also been shared to the brand’s Instagram Story, with a more suggestive “Your first look” hyperlink. Disappointingly, this merely leads to the blog post mentioned above.
At any rate though, while there was little doubt regarding the existence of the PS5 Pro, there is now mild confirmation with the way it looks. The company was already previously reported to be asking devs to make their games released later in the year to be able to support the mid-generation upgrade’s enhancements. Now, it’s only a matter of waiting for an official unveiling.
