It’s been two years since Marshall launched the Emberton II on our shores, but it looks like it’s time for the successor to take the stage. As you’d expect, it has about as straightforward a name as it can get, known simply as the Marshall Emberton III. But if you’ve been looking out for this, you’d know that it already made its international debut last month.
Being a successor model, it’s no surprise that the Marshall Emberton III looks a lot like its predecessor. Of course, it won’t be much of a successor if it didn’t boast any improvement over what came before, and one of those improvements come in the form of improved battery life. It’s not by much, but the brand claims a 32-hour battery life for the Emberton III, which is two hours more than its predecessor model. On the other hand, a 20-minute charge now provides six hours if playback time, which is a huge improvement.
Something else that the Marshall Emberton III sports is what the brand calls True Stereophonic. In short, the tech is claimed to deliver multi-directional as well as 360-degree spacial and binaural sound.
For its wireless tech, the Marshall Emberton III now supports both Bluetooth Low Energy support, which probably contributes to the improved battery life. Then there’s Auracast support, which seems a pretty common upgrade for portable, daisy chain-capable speakers. Wrapping up the entire package is the familiar IP67 rating for when you take it out into the elements.
The Marshall Emberton III will be available starting 12 September from official retailers, as well as the brand’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada. It has an asking price of RM999.
