OPPO is set to release a new smartphone in its A-series called the A3. This seems to be the middle child between the A3x and the A3 Pro, sharing the former’s processor and the latter’s imaging setup.
The A3 sports the same 6.67-inch 720p LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 chip paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. On the durability side, the phone comes with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, as well as shock resistance and Panda glass.
For the optics, the entry-level device features a 50MP main camera along with a depth sensor and a 5MP selfie snapper. Powering the phone is a 5,100mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Connectivity-wise, it supports 4G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
While the A3 has not been officially announced yet, the brand’s Ocean Mall Melaka store has confirmed that it will retail at RM699. Its availability date is unknown, but given its listing by third-party retailers, we can expect it to be launched here soon.
