Aside from its Predator lineup, Acer is also launching a whole handful of Nitro gaming monitors. And by handful, we mean five models, in total.
Of particular interest are the Nitro XV Series of gaming monitors, specifically the XV240 F6, XV270 F5, and XV270U F5. As their name suggests, the series comes in both 24-inch and 27-inch display sizes.
Starting with the Nitro XV240 F6, this is the only 24.1-inch monitor on the list. It’s only got a maximum resolution of FHD (1,920 x 1,080) but it is the only monitor on the list that has a maximum refresh rate of 600Hz via DisplayPort, and 240Hz when connected to a PC via HDMI.
Another FHD monitor is the XV270 F5, which is basically a 27-inch variant of the previous gaming monitor. While it doesn’t reach 600Hz on its refresh rate, it is still capable of reaching 520Hz via both DisplayPort and HDMI, surprisingly.
Go one step up on the ladder, and you get the Nitro XV270U F5. This monitor also has a 27-inch panel but comes with a higher display resolution of QHD (2,560 x 1,440) and more importantly, an equally high refresh rate of 500Hz which, surprisingly again, is accessible on both DisplayPort and HDMI. However, the peak brightness is rated at just 250 nits.
Regardless of the model, all three Nitro XV Series gaming monitors support AMD’s FreeSync Premium and have a 1ms GTG response time. Acer says that availability for the monitors are slated for Q1 2025, with prices starting from US$599.99 (~RM2,611).
