Along with its new Copilot+ laptops, Acer is also unveiling two new 27-inch Predator gaming monitors at IFA 2024. These monitors are the XB273U F5 and the XB273K V5.
Specs-wise, the Predator XB273U F5 is a QHD (2,560 x 1,440) IPS monitor, with a GTG response time of 1ms, a maximum refresh rate of 360Hz on both DisplayPort and HDMI, and support for NVIDIA’s G-Sync Pulsar technology. It has a peak brightness of 550 nits and even supports HDR. It also has a DCI-P3 colour gamut of 90%, and comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port.
there’s also the Predator XB273K V5. This model boasts a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) IPS panel with a 160Hz refresh rate, which is more than plenty. However, instead of NVIDIA G-Sync, this panel supports AMD’s FreeSync Premium anti-tearing technology. Also, its peak brightness is only 400 nits but the good news is that is supports HDR.
Ports-wise, the monitor comes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, an SPK, and an audio out port.
At the time of writing, Acer hasn’t released any information regarding the availability of the Predator XB273U F5 but the XB273K V5 is expected to be available globally sometime during Q4 2024, and from US$499.99 (~RM2,176). For that matter, the brand has yet to provide local availability or pricing.
