Earlier in the year, ASUS unveiled a number of laptops running the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipsets, including the Vivobook S 15 and the ProArt PZ13. Now, the company has announced these very same laptops once more, with one key difference – they all now pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus instead.
Starting with the ASUS Vivobook S 15, we’re looking at the same laptop with a familiar 15.6-inch 3K OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Like the chipset, the other items on the inside have also been toned down a tad, with memory and storage now at 16GB and 512GB respectively.
Connectivity options on this version of the ASUS Vivobook S 15, on the other hand, look to be mostly retained. It still sports two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and two USB4 ports, with one HDMI 2.1 port, one audio jack and one microSD card slot. Wireless options, on the other hand, include WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4
Moving on to the ASUS ProArt PZ13, this laptop looks to be pretty much unchanged besides the chipset. The display is naturally the same, being the 13.3-inch 2,880 x 1,800 16:10 OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. Inside, it looks to retain its 16GB and 1TB of memory and storage combo.
Wireless connectivity options on the ASUS ProArt PZ13 are familiar as well, sporting support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Ports are a bit on the limited side owing to its form factor, but you get two USB 4 ports and an SD card reader with a microSD adapter. The entire package is also wrapped up in an IP52 rating.
For their prices, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus costs RM4,899, while the ProArt PZ13 has an asking price of RM6,999 instead. The company says that both are now available via its own official eStore, as well as authorised resellers, both online and offline.
