Just a few days after its global unveiling, Xiaomi has announced the arrival of its brand new budget smartphone, the Redmi 14C. The affordable device sports a new design with a bigger display, an upgraded processor, a better selfie camera, and a slightly heftier battery.
The 14C is fitted with a 6.88-inch 720p LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Under the chassis, the entry-level phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for expansion.
Imaging-wise, the 14C features a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor and a 13MP front lens. Powering the phone is a 5,160mAh cell with support for 18W charging. As for connectivity, it supports 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The 14C comes in four colour options and will be available from 13 September. It will have a starting price of RM449 for the 6GB+128GB variant while the 8GB+256GB model will cost RM599. The phone will be available through its online store, authorised stores, as well as its Shopee and Lazada pages.
