Bang & Olufsen (B&O) have officially launched the Beoplay H100, its latest and by far most expensive pair of over-ear wireless earphones. Retailing at US$1,549 (~RM6,765), they effectively dethroning its predecessor, the H95, both in terms of price and flagship placement.
Specs-wise, the H100 feature B&O’s 40mm Electro-dynamic Titanium Drivers, one in each earcup, with frequencies ranging between 10Hz and 20KHz, the latter able to hit 40KHz in Hi-Res mode. Oh, and there’s even support for Dolby Atmos and of course, ANC that it says is double the strength compared to the H95.
On the outside, the earcups and headband cushion are made with lambskin leather, while the chassis itself is made from aluminium and knitted cloth. For controls, the back of the H100’s earcups have a scratch-resistant glass touch interface that B&O says was inspired by fine jewellery for the black, sand, and apricot colour options. That, and it comes with a five-year warranty.
Another feature of the H100 is that it is now modular, with B&O saying that you can swap out parts easily. This includes the headband, cushions, batteries, and even the drivers.
As for the battery life, the H100 can last up to 32 hours on a single charge with ANC On. Additionally, the headphones have a low-power mode, similar to the Apple AirPods Max, which goes into action when outside of its carrying case but is not being worn.
The B&O Beoplay H100 is already on sale on the brand’s main page but at the time of writing, there’s still no word on local availability and pricing.
