Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi 14C, the successor to last year’s 13C. The phone comes with a brand new design as well as a more powerful processor, a bigger screen, and a nominally larger battery.
The 14C is equipped with a 6.88-inch LCD display with a 720p resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Under the hood, the budget device sees the global debut of the MediaTek Helio H81 Ultra chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the imaging side, the 14C is fitted with a 50MP main camera, a secondary auxiliary lens, and an improved 13MP selfie snapper. Powering the entry-level smartphone is a 5,160mAh cell that supports 18W charging. Additionally, it runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS Android skin and supports 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The 14C has a starting price of CZK2,999 (~RM579) for the base trim and costs CZK3,699 (~RM715) for the highest-end configuration. As of now, it is unknown when it will be available in Malaysia, but we suspect that it might be coming here soon given that several local retailers have already teased the phone’s arrival.
