CIMB seems to be experience a wide outage of its services, with many on social media complaining about the issue. According to numerous posts on X, users of the bank are currently unable to access its OCTO app, as well as being unable to log into its desktop website.
Regarding the service disruption, the bank has yet to issue a statement about its cause or when customers can expect to see the problem rectified. However, it seems to be aware of the outage as it has been replying to customers on social media, stating that it is currently working on getting the services back up.

Notably, CIMB was recently penalised RM760,000 by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) for its prolonged service disruptions back in April.
[UPDATE: 1:11 PM, 30 August 2024]: Users are reporting that its BizChannel platform is also down.
[UPDATE: 1:33 PM, 30 August 2024]: The bank’s services are apparently operating as normal now, according to a CIMB representative that contacted us. We can also confirm through our own testing that the OCTO app is up and running again. However, some users on X are claiming that they are still unable to perform transactions.
